Frozen

Words sprouted from the garden of my heart
Bearing white roses in its hands
Choking my throat
Smouldering my breath.
Words floated around me
Building castles in the air
Promises laden with gold
Pouring fort libations at the altar of my heart
Will you love me today?
Or must I bid tomorrow come?
Kiss me now
Before my heart becomes frozen
